Day 1 Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Sweetwaters Serena Camp
Pick up from your hotel at 0800 hrs then proceed to Mt. Kenya region and take a full afternoon visit to Sweetwater’s game ranch. Dinner and overnight stay at Sweetwater’s tented camp. Sweetwater’s is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. Day 2 Olpejeta - Lake Nakuru National Park - Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge
We shall depart Olpejeta this morning and drive along the floor to the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch. The park Kenya’s first rhino sanctuary and one of the largest concentrations of black rhinoceros in the world a large population of white rhino. Also of interest is an area fenced off as a sanctuary to protect Rothschild giraffes. Among predators are lion, leopard and large pythons hiding in the dense woodlands which may occasionally be seen crossing roads or dangling from trees. Other game includes Thomson’s and Grant gazelle, the long- eared leaf-nosed bat, colobus monkey, rock hyrax, hippo, and waterbuck; Impala, striped hyena, bat-eared fox, wildcat, reedbuck and golden cat. Day 3 Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve - Mara Serena Safari Lodge
You will enjoy an early breakfast then view the game as we exit the park and drive via the Great Rift Valley to arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch at Mara Serena Safari Lodge. Afternoon game drives till dusk when we return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Mara Serena Safari Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 4 Masai Mara Game Reserve - Mara Serena Safari Lodge
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$450 per person. Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. Mara is the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti Tanzania in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna - lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, and vultures. Day 5 Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha - Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort
After breakfast we drive to Lake Naivasha—the highest and purest of the Great Rift Valley lakes. This area is famous for its birdlife, a breeding ground for pelicans, fish eagles, cormorants and more. You will also find other animals such as hippos, zebras, antelopes, and Colobus monkeys. Afternoon take a boat ride in Lake Naivasha to crescent island where you will be doing a nature walk next to zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, waterbucks, antelopes and many types of birds and the wildlife found on the island. You might also see zebras and giraffes close to the shore of the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 6 Lake Naivasha - Amboseli National Park - Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge
After an early sumptuous breakfast depart to Amboseli National Park, which provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery, it is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing volcanic mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa. Against this magnificent backdrop roam vast herds of ‘giant’ elephant accompanied by a kaleidoscope of other fabulous beasts – lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle hippo and wildebeest. The Park is an ornithological paradise with over 400 species of birds, all manner of reptilian, flora & fauna and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa. Arrive at your preferred choice of accommodation for check in and some delicious lunch. Afternoon game drive in search of the ‘big five’ among other animals. Day 7 Amboseli National Park - Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge
Today you have the full day in Amboseli. Start with an early morning game drive, return for breakfast in the hotel, thereafter the rest of the morning is at leisure perhaps by the pool overlooking the majestic mountain. Enjoy lunch and some leisure time and later that afternoon head out for yet another game viewing drive on this majestic backdrop to one of Kenya’s most spectacular displays of wildlife – lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo and hosts of plains’ game. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 8 Departure Nairobi
An early morning game drive later return to the camp. Enjoy your breakfast at leisure then check out and drive with a game viewing as we exit to Nairobi where you will be transferred to the airport. Meal Plan: Breakfast, End of Services.
